A comfortable, inexpensive and extremely scenic way to travel- especially in Europe- is by train. If this is your preferred mode of transportation, Alicante has two train stations right in the city. The RENFE (Red Nacional de los Ferrocarriles Españoles) rail network operates out of Alicante's main train station and connects the city with destinations throughout Spain and Europe. Valencia's FGV (Ferrocarriles de la Generalitat Valenciana) system operates out of the Estación de la Marina and has coastal trains running to and from towns like Benidorm and Denia .
